Charlene Edmondson Smith was born on April 18, 1929 to Robert and Mamie Lee (Moore) Edmondson, in Dardanelle, Arkansas.  There, she attended Dunbar High school.  In her early 20s, she moved to Grand Rapids, MI, where she resided until her passing on December 21, 2022. 

Charlene accepted Christ at an early age, later becoming a more than fifty-year member of Bethel Seventh Day Adventist Church where she served in various capacities.  She was a Deaconess, served in the kitchen, participated in outreach ministries, including visiting the sick & shut-in.  Additionally, she sent cards to the bereaved, etc.  She truly loved the Lord and serving him in whatever way she could.
